In 1925, Pope Pius XI established the Feast of Christ the King through his encyclical Quas Primas. This year marks the 100th anniversary of that great feast, and we are blessed that Bishop Malloy will join us for a 10:00am mass to celebrate this milestone.
In Quas Primas, Pope Pius XI expressed his desire that, on the Feast of Christ the King, all the faithful renew their consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. In honor of that tradition, Bishop Malloy will lead us in the renewal of our consecration and bless the image of the Sacred Heart located in the choir loft.
Join us as we honor the centenary of Pope Pius XI’s encyclical Quas Primas, establishing the Feast of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe.
“May Christ reign in our minds, in our wills, in our hearts.”
